Dr. Gialo received certification with expertise in Perinatal Mental health through Postpartum Support International as well as received extra education through Massachusetts General and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Gialo also has additional training in Lifestyle Medicine. With this she can offer knowledge and expertise regarding nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management and importance of social connection and way in which they can help your overall well-being during the perinatal time.

Mental Health Medication Management

There may be certain clinical cases that are just in need of medical management. Or a patient may be receiving psychotherapy with another provider and is just in need of managing medications. This is called “split treatment” and can be discussed with your clinician.

Lifestyle medicine is an evidence-based practice of helping individuals and families adopt and sustain healthy behaviors that affect health and quality of life. Examples of target behaviors include:

  • Nutritional counseling and weight loss

  • Increasing physical activity and daily movement

  • Eliminating tobacco use
