About Me

I completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued Psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Sheppard Pratt Hospital, where I also served as Executive Chief Resident. I specialize in treating patients with bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, and anxiety disorders. I have advanced training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a noninvasive, non-medication treatment for depression and OCD, as well as expertise in esketamine (Spravato) therapy, an innovative treatment for treatment-resistant depression.

In addition to these therapies, I have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through PostPartum Support International and Massachusetts General Hospital. I offer tailored mental health care for individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, fertility issues, and menopausal mood symptoms.

Previously a faculty member at the University of Maryland Medical Center, I continue to teach residents and medical students, which I find incredibly rewarding. My approach to healthcare emphasizes the vital connection between mental and physical well-being. As a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, I address lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, stress, social connections, sleep, and substance use in treating chronic medical conditions.

When I am not at the office, I enjoy yoga, kayaking, biking, baking, singing, playing the flute and spending time with my family and dog.

Be Mindful. Be Healthful. Be Medicine.
